When that path closed, I pivoted — trained as an accountant, joined KPMG, and tried hard to “fit the accountant mould.” I spent years in stuffy suits and talking in corporate code. Eventually, I stopped trying to blend in — and started leaning into what made me different: the way I think, lead, and work with people.
