About Dave Lochead

With a Diploma in Project Management along with 20+ years of hands on experience, I have become very passionate for seeing a project completed to a high standard and in accordance to plans, requirements and regulations. I have a strong technical and engineering background, applicable to a wide range of work, from small prototyping to full sized aircraft building, through to large capital building projects. My skill set and experience include: • A clear understanding and knowledge of project management methodology. • Experience in developing, piloting and implementing new business processes. • Proven ability to improve performance. • Comprehension of policies and procedures while being able to explain to staff. • Ensure suppliers deliver the products/ services to the agreed specification • Forecast, manage and report on budget. • Produce and update all project documentation. • Identify risks and issues that could affect projects, and implement effective solutions. • Can work in high pressure situations and have the ability to think on my feet when issues occur. • Can hire and train staff on the job with a good eye for the right person for the role. • Communicate effectively in a professional setting with clients and colleagues. • Able to gain rapport with a wide range of people and can maintain relationships. • A natural leader who can work with staff to succeed in the role required, also experience in staff interview, appointment and management roles. Recently completed Harvard University Certificate: lessons Learned from Ebola, Preventing the Next Pandemic. My interest in this area is mainly in what infrastructure and supply systems were found wanting, and what I, as a Project Manager, may learn from the failings during the Ebola Epidemics, and apply those lessons to post Covid19 planning in my local area.
