About Dave Loftus

As a Consultant and Project Specialist, I leverage my 50+ years of experience in railroading and engineering to provide high-quality services and solutions to clients in various industries. I am a Certified Plant Engineering Technologist, a Locomotive Safety Inspector, and a Certified Car Inspector, with credentials issued by Transport Canada and Holland College. My core competencies include process improvement, development of a team atmosphere, operations management, project planning, quality control, material management, and regulatory compliance. I have successfully managed and supervised large-scale projects involving manufacturing, rebuilding, modifying, and servicing of rolling stock, as well as accident investigation, cost estimation, and pre-lease or post-lease inspections. I have also trained and facilitated teams in lean management, 5S, and QMS techniques, and ensured adherence to safety and environmental standards. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others, and helping any company achieve greatness. I am currently seeking new contracts in any field of railroading management or project management, short or long term, any location.
