I'm an accomplished IT leader with a proven history of engineering and operational achievements in mission-critical environments across multiple industries. I have a laser focus on delivering solutions and services that bring substantial, measurable value to customers and accelerate their business objectives. I have an extensive background in infrastructure engineering, IT/business strategy alignment, project management and ITSM, and a proven record of building transformative IT solutions leveraging cloud technologies, DevOps and automation. Building things is my passion (reflected in both my professional and personal pursuits!) and I enjoy driving the adoption of technical innovation to break the “status quo” and stagnation that many organizations fall into with their IT strategies. However, I'm also a huge champion of Service-Oriented IT: the core principle that IT teams must prioritize the delivery of value to customers through meticulous and exemplary service - and place this commitment above technology considerations. Some of my notable career highlights include-Designed and implemented an ITSM platform from the ground up (ServiceNow integrated with NetSuite), resulting in numerous benefits including a reduction of 70% MTTR and 220% in Average Response Time over a 9-month period-Developed the first comprehensive public cloud strategy at CommonSpirit Health and implemented the technical framework, security model, governance and policies for all Azure and AWS services. This included Privacy/Compliance (HIPAA) and Security Posture Management, Monitoring and Event Management and Digital Workplace integration-Established a DevOps framework to support continuous integration and continuous deployment to both Azure and on-prem VMWare environments (using ADO, Jenkins and Terraform), slashing inefficiency and driving a $120k/year reduction in license expense-Implemented an Infrastructure Delivery Service Model (IDSM) that included process improvement and automation in the areas of observability, alerting, capacity planning, release management and infrastructure design. It also included improvements in budget and vendor management, ITSM and SLA processes-Established virtualization and storage standards and completed a comprehensive optimization effort for a large vSphere ecosystem across 4 major data centers and 200+ facilities-Implemented automated compute and storage deployment processes for the on-prem VMWare and Windows Server environments, resulting in substantial improvements in performance and efficiency of the build process.
