Responsible for managing assigned product sets throughout the product lifecycle from planning to execution in support of organizational strategy and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Explore and analyze industry trends to identify products to be added to the product offering. Develop and maintain appropriate manufacturer and supplier relationships. Maintain “market knowledge” of pricing, availability, trends and competitor impact. Determine product specifications; define long term strategy of product set. Maintain market knowledge of pricing and trends to develop pricing strategies and models. Prepare product marketing documents to drive product activity. Develop and maintain internal event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand. Drive ongoing improvement in sales and product profitability. Interface with sales management, sales teams and marketing to promote assigned product lines. Develop and follow through on promotions required to increase the sale of assigned products. Coordinate with sales management to assure that product training and mind share is maintained. Create product assembly instructions and approve product packaging specifications. Coordinate with training department to develop necessary product training. Maintain upkeep of product content (up-sell, cross sell, add-on options, photos, data sheets, etc).
