About Dave Moore

I have been working with fibre since leaving the Royal Signals in 1996 after 7 years of service. Initially covering all aspects of Cable TV build from Headend to customer on Telewest networks i then worked on various projects nationwide as part of the initial roll out for broadband. I have since worked on all manner of applications, terminating fibres in Frankfurt Eurohub (and many other datacentres), testing and fault finding on kPN Quest, viatel, and many national trunk networks M27 motorway, rail, CCTV, various business networks (for VM & C&W), minor/major installations, NHS and schools projects, Emergency repairs & fault finding, network auditing for Virgin Media & Vodafone, installation of CWDM filters, bespoke projects at music festivals, TV studios & Football stadiums (Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Oldham Athletic, Burnley, Bolton Wanderers), dark fibre networks for universities and county councils nationwide(for Concept Solutions People), MDUs plus much more. As well as being physically involved in the splicing and testing of these projects i have also provided consultation in designing the initial fibre architecture, assistance in choosing suitable solutions and project managing through to completion providing all these services through my companies(Fusion Optics Ltd then later The Fibre Splicer Ltd). After spending some time wirking on contracts for Openreach, gigackear, hyperoptic and truespeed i decided it time to move away from contracting and utilise my experience with an ISP. I now work as the Technical Authority for Airband.
