This can mean leaning on manufacturers to prioritize product deliveries for critical government agencies. It can mean crashing project schedules and increasing resources to adjust to compressed schedules for large global manufacturers. It can mean taking an unexpected phone call on a Wednesday night when a hospital has a major outage, and being on that call until noon the next day. The question that matters isn't what we want to do, but what our customers need us to do."That's not my job" isn't part of the lexicon. The job is ensuring that our customers have gotten what they paid for, what they need to succeed. That means diligence in discovery, accuracy in quotes, specificity in statements of work, advocacy during challenges, proficiency and professionalism in execution, and validation of outcomes. It has to be all of these things, and everyone involved has to care about all of them, because the job isn't about the transaction. It's about building relationships through persistent hard work, quality, integrity, and advocacy.
