About Dave Nielsen

My background: An experienced association executive who has strategically led both national and federated organizations. Have helped associations transform their image and community/societal value, create broad-based effective partnerships and governance models, develop and grow new revenue streams, and increase and diversify member engagement. Skilled in areas of organizational leadership, governance, advocacy, communication, financial management, business development, for-profit subsidiary oversight, member and consumer event management, and relationship building. What motivates me professionally: I love association work and the dynamics involved with running an organization that engages and partners with member leaders to develop a vision and strategies on how best to lead and serve a profession or industry. I am passionate about developing relationships and collaborations internally and externally that find common ground and move the association’s work on behalf of an industry or profession forward. I especially enjoy helping an organization realize its full potential through connecting, growing, and communicating its work in ways that resonate powerfully with its membership and the communities it impacts. I care about people - both their personal wellbeing and professional success.
