Background
About Dave Pajot
I have been directly involved with the construction industry my entire working life since 1981. I have experienced just about every aspect of construction from the ancient craft of timber framing to heavy civil construction in the oil fields of Fort MacMurray. I was heavily involved in the reclaimed and salvaged wood business where I would acquire obsolete historic structures like old barns and carefully dismantle them piece by piece and bring the material back to my lumber yard where I would fill orders for clients around the world looking to use these beautiful hand hewn timbers and wide plank flooring in the construction of their multi-million dollar homes. This business even took me into the jungles of Central America where I would hire and train local indigenous people to salvage sunken mahogany from the lagoons there. That was fun!I've recently taken a year off to teach the Carpentry Apprentices at Algonquin College in Pembroke, ON. Maybe my biggest challenge to date.I'm a single Dad who loves writing poetry and short stories. Loving life!
