I like to have fun! Yes, work is important and serious, and I engage in it to succeed. But along the way I like to enjoy my peers and have been known to tease them about their sports teams and even sing a song along the way. Work can be and should be enjoyable. I have considerable experience. From crafting tax advantaged leases before the Tax Reform Act of 1986 to tax free municipal leases financing police cars and road construction equipment for highway districts in the early 1990’s. In corporate banking I have had brilliant mentors and some of them worked for me. I am proud of what we do. I love the market economy and there is nothing more rewarding than helping entrepreneurs accomplish their dreams. I like to say that bankers are vicarious entrepreneurs. Although we don’t have the same risk appetite, we sure love seeing them succeed and if we helped them along the way, well then so much the better.
