About Dave Rogers

If you are not having fun and loving your job, you're in the wrong job."My Beliefs: You must love what you do, have a fierce passion, and above all, put yourself into a state where work is always fun. There are occasional exceptions of course, but making this the standard, has allowed me to achieve a rewarding diverse career. I was the person who would spend the extra time to do something right, research, document, not take the easy path unless it *was* the right path. Passion and Quality in my work, while always having fun, turned into my daily work motto. My experiences run deep, as listed below. My career started as a Windows App developer, then as the demand for technology started to wane, I pivoted and became a web/database developer, and a third pivot in 2008 sent me on a path of pure bliss, an iOS developer, which makes me just as excited today as I was nearly 20 years ago.As one can surmise from my work history, which contains *many* overlapping contracts and jobs, I do not shy away from putting in the hours and producing the results. I've loved the times which I've been in positions to help and mentor folks, as well as guide those with less experience. I have many great memories of being one of a small group, there very late, often supported by the company owner, and finally getting that first run, demonstrating end-to-end success. Ive been a manager at times, and do not enjoy that, as I'm all hands-on and found those roles to obscure my enjoyment of crafting a solution and bringing it to light, and/or helping others along the same path.2025 I retired from the official work schedules. I now take time and enjoy many things. I am still in the technology fold, but now make a priority to exercise more, get more sleep, spend more time with family and friends, travel more, and work on my projects when *I* want to work on them. Retirement is GREAT, everyone should get there as soon as they can;)
