About Dave Shapiro
In September 2020, I satisfied a long-standing desire and started an online Java course. I've been hooked ever since! Over two decades of building and repairing musical instruments taught me a bit about problem solving, iterative improvement of a design, understanding how connected components of a system interact, and attention to detail - which hopefully will aid me on my journey in software development. When not fixing bugs and writing code, I'm likely playing music, either in traditional Irish music sessions on mandolin and whistle, or heavy metal on electric guitar.
