About Dave Sleeva

I am an experienced field service technologist. I am comfortable and familiar with being parachuted into new situations and can provide a competent and disciplined resource immediately.I have specified, designed, project managed, installed and commissioned a wide variety of controls and electrical systems. This has been in a heavy industry environment with the standard concerns of safety and production. The nature of the technology is always changing and I have proven adaptability in ongoing training to implement these systems.Participating in 6 major industrial plant start-ups has given me a wealth of experience over the years. I have spent 38 years applying automation in the industrial setting. More recently, I have been working with the drives and controls for heavy electrical equipment including GE drive systems and GE PLCs. In addition to that, I have worked with mine hoist systems by the following vendors; GE, ABB, Westinghouse, Tiley, and Hepburn. Experience since 1984 with variable speed drives including medium voltage drives. Commissioned and trouble shot synchronous motors in mining, pulp and paper, and the petrochemical industries. As a result, I am also familiar with high voltage equipment and safety. I have also obtained a Limited Electrical Journey person status as a ticketed Industrial Instrumentation Journey person. My responsibility for commissioning large and complex systems has given me confidence to take on large projects and difficult time lines.
