About Dave Waithe

Dave is a graduate of Thompson Rivers University’s Master of Environmental Economics and Management (MEEM); with this degree, he gained skills as a specialist in environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices developing, analyzing, and synthesizing scholarly research. He also received problem-resolution training and decision-making in policy development and application, as well as ethical practices within consulting, project, and team management methods. Dave gained these skills on top of his Bachelor of Business with a double major in Economics and International Business, with certificates in Environmental Sustainability and Global Competency. Taking the initiative to expand my opportunities and capitalize on new experiences - I chose to study abroad for a component of my Bachelor’s degree. Having complete management training through Costco’s Undergraduate Retention Program (URPG) and assistant buyer (middle management) training program, and previous experience: As a Study Abroad Ambassador at TRU World, Event Coordinator for the Marketing and Promotions team with TRU Study Abroad, VP of Happiness (human resources) for the TRU Modern Marketing Association, and Director of Internal Engagement and Human Resources with the TRU Economics Club. While studying in Australia, Dave further developed leadership skills, serving as a Career Education Ambassador, an International Student Ambassador for Southern Cross University, Study Gold Coast International Student Ambassador, and a Gold Coast Mayors International Student Ambassador.
