Previous Central Plains Governor of the American Society of Professional Estimators, past President of ASPE, Chicago Chapter 7, involved with ASPE “National”, is a “Certified Professional Estimator”, and a former “DBIA Certified Professional”. More than 40 years of diversified experience in the construction industry including field experience, management, business ownership and partnership. Was instrumental in the process development and implementation of “Super Flat Floors” for industrial applications and “Circular” concrete forming systems. Worked closely with the Indiana Concrete Council for advancing new pavement solutions and applications. Previously held certifications for geotechnical and concrete testing. Currently as Senior Estimator, has direct involvement and oversight of all estimating activities within our Design/Build Company. Directly involved as part of the “liaison group” for preconstruction management within our company. Responsibilities include Order of Magnitude Estimating, Conceptual Estimating, final Guaranteed Price Estimating, development and initiation of project preconstruction activities including “Value Management”, or VE, risk analysis and scope / budget alignment. Maintains a “cost history database” used for cost development and checks. Instrumental in developing Pre Con schedules, develop and initiate project subcontractor teams, scopes of work, request for proposal, contractor qualification standards, qualifying quotes and compiling total project cost. Work closely with Project Managers through preconstruction including cost verification and contract development. Directly involved during the initial portions of construction.
