About Davey Thompson

Hi, I'm Davey! I'm a writer, producer, activist and aspiring filmmaker. I currently work in Screen Australia’s Indigenous department as a Development Associate. Previously I worked at Film Victoria as a Development Program Officer, right off the back of a year long Screen Development Internship also with Film Victoria. In that short year I was lucky enough to have worked with Princess Pictures, ABC and Blackfella Films. Before stepping into Film and TV, I worked at Ilbijerri Theatre Company as an Associate Producer, managing the Youth Ensemble while producing and touring our educational shows. I'm also the original producer of "Chasing Smoke"- Circus Oz's sellout BLAKflip show featuring the only all-Aboriginal Circus cast in Australia, which is now being produced and managed by Cluster Arts and Casus. Some of you might recognise me as the host of the Australian chapter of Cocoa Butter club. Some of you might recognise me from my cameos in “Get Krack!n” and “Corey White’s Roadmap to Paradise”.
