About Davia Meslin

I am a traveler My interest in travel, languages and learning about people and their cultures has lead me on a lifelong personal journey. In my 20's I backpacked around Europe for almost a year on my own, staying in hostels and sleeping on night trains. In the many years since then, I have added to my travel journal, now having traveled across Canada, parts of the U.S, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Thailand, Viet Nam, the French West Indies, and the South Island of New Zealand. I am a Canadian leisure travel professional This has translated into a desire to work with and for those who also share a passion for tourism and hospitality. In the last 30 years, I worked at a youth hostel in Toronto, and ran recreational activities for guests both at a ski resort in British Columbia and at a four season resort in Ontario. I was a hotel concierge and supervisor at a hop-on hop-off city tour company. My proudest achievement was that I started my own tour/concierge company and for 11 years worked with international travelers visiting Canada. For the last 14 years, I have worked for the largest inbound tour operator in Canada. I am a relationship builder I am interested in others and have a desire to share my love of travel in whatever mode this may take. I learned the “Yes We Can” philosophy of customer service early in my working career, and that has carried through to all jobs that have come afterward. I am best known around the office for not only the work I do on behalf of our clients, but also our “internal clients”, the colleagues I spend time with every day. Myers-Briggs: INFJ Words that describe me: creative, responsible, artistic, logical, spiritual, intuitive and analytical. Whereas these may on the surface include contradictory terms, I know that they make me a more rounded individual able to relate to others and face new situations with a sense of interest and exploration.
