About David Abraham

An experienced Game Developer and Game Designer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. As the lead programmer on several large, grant-funded projects and part of the collaborative game design team at NMSU's Learning Games Lab, David helped create browser-based, iOS, Android, and VR games which have been played millions of times by kids and adults around the world. He's worked collaboratively with instructional designers, artists, and content experts ranging from mathematicians to nutritionists and biologists. Among his creations as a programming lead and designer are several of the award-winning Math Snacks games, as well as numerous USDA and NIH funded works. Most recently, he was the lead programmer for a suite of VR simulations for medical students and professionals in the field of dietetics. His diverse educational background includes a Master's Degree in Game Design from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation and Visual FX from New Mexico State University. In his free time he paints, plays and makes games, hikes, and writes comedy and epic fantasy. He is also good at writing descriptions about himself in third-person that sound like they were created by ChapGPT, but he assures you they were not.
