About David Adama

As a Senior Specialist at AGRA, with over two decades plus of experience working on public policy analysis and advocacy with a focus on public finance management (PFM) agriculture development, ag. financing and climate adaptation. I lead engagements with governments to implement programs that catalyze income and food security for smallholder agricultural development, while advocating for aligning of donor resources for greater impact towards inclusive agriculture, Food Systems transformation and climate adaptation. I lead development of coalitions and strengthen partnerships with other likeminded organizations, such as CGIARs, farmers’ organizations, non-state actors, INGOs, RECs, national and sub-national government ministries of finance, agriculture, country agricultural consultative platforms, AUC/NEPAD, UN institutions, and donor community. My mission is to contribute to an inclusive and sustainable agricultural transformation and climate adaptation in Africa.
