About David Adeleke

I’m a media founder, journalist, and storyteller working at the intersection of Africa’s creative and digital economy. As Founder and CEO of Communiqué, I lead a media and intelligence company shaping how the world understands and engages with Africa’s creative industries. Today, our platform reaches over creators, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers across 105 countries. Previously, I served as Africa Editor at Rest of World, led Business Insider Africa, and held editorial roles at Ventures Africa and TechCabal. My writing and commentary have appeared in The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Reuters, Semafor, and The Continent. I’m a Media and Journalism Fellow with the Charles Koch Institute, and hold a degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University, with additional executive education from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Yale University, Copenhagen Business School, and London Business School.
