About David Albuquerque

David Albuquerque concludes in 2015 with summa cum laude his PhD in Biological field, with the presentation of a thesis entitled "Association study of genetic variants associated with obesity among Portuguese children". He spent three years as a postdoc researcher in the field of medical and molecular genetics at the General Hospital of Valencia (Spain). He has collaborated with several international teams, and had obtained two funded projects in a total of and collaborated with other four projects as team member and one as coordinator during is post-doc period. Furthermore, he was awarded by 9 awards, highlighting in 2013 with the best research in pediatrics awarded by SPEO, and in 2018, with an Honorable Mention for its works on the genetics of obesity by the Real Academy of Veterinarians of Valladolid. David is always looking/open for new challenging projects.
