Sometimes a Project Manager needs to change the lens to get a better view of how the project is progressing. Scrum is a great way to get started being agile. It builds the team's "muscle memory" or should I say "memory muscle" I find kanban is more persistent, measurable, and adaptive if the team is open to learning systems thinking. Switching my lens. I facilitated Lean manufacturing, then called Just-in-time, and the Theory of Constraints when I worked in a furniture factory (Woodrite, Inc) We reduced our lead time from 12-14 weeks to 6 to 8 weeks. That's why I like Kanban - it works! Now I am pursuing six sigma.
