About David Andlinger
A passion for food brought me into the life sciences. My studies and doctoral thesis in food and bioprocess engineering taught me the basics of chemistry, physics, and process technology. After completing my PhD by the end of 2021, I gradually shifted my career into biotechnology. Together with a small group of colleagues, I developed a chromatographic process as part of a state-sponsored startup project. This hands-on experience in chromatography led me to the Swiss pharma market by the end of 2022. I worked in the downstream production department of Bachem, a leader in the production of peptides as active pharmaceutical ingredients. Since early 2024, I am working in the process chromatography division of Bio-Rad. In this role, I am eager to support companies, research groups, and startups throughout Europe with the right resins for their downstream challenges.
