David has expertise is in compositing and digital visual effects, stereo VR, motion graphics, research, planning and problem solving in feature films, TV, web and advertising. He likes playing drums, too.* 2019 Oscar win for visual effects team on film "First Man" starring Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong. Started as a 2D animator for cartoons and computer games, interested in both art and technology in the developing field of computer graphics. In the 80’s & 90’s he helped to develop the first fully digital pipeline for broadcast 2D cartoon animation, with credits on several animated cartoons, over 50 PC game titles and a regular column in TV Technology Magazine. In the dot-com era, he was involved in developing a network of solar-powered, remote-controlled video cameras, feeding live video streams of wild animals to clients like NationalGeographic.com and Discovery.com. Also experienced in large-screen video settings, creating 3D animation and motion graphics for professional sports teams across the country.
