About David Babbitt

I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Master of Science in Education.My hope for teaching is to integrate rigorous content standards with student-centered theory to provide an enriching classroom experience. As well as using technology to increase student learning through data analysis and reflective practices. The reason I chose the teaching career is because teaching gives me the opportunity to combine my love of history and passion of working with kids. I plan to bring enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject material into the classroom. My studies of the various pedagogy will allow me to provide a quality education for all students. I am a flexible professional who wants to work with others for the success of the school. I started as a student at to ECSU in 2012, first receiving a degree in history and studying much of Asia and philosophy. I believe my ability to critically think has been my greatest asset in studying and researching. During my time at Eastern Connecticut State University, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow through my studies of education. Because of the various opportunities provided by the ECSU teaching program and those I sought out on my own, I want to continue to contribute to the role of education.
