About David Barr

I have been providing engineering skills for electrical engineering, software programming and engineering project management services. Working with industrial applications: high current welding controls embedded micro controllers, high speed image processing and automated guided vehicles. I have a strong background with the design, development of embedded controls mixed signal deigns and project management. Over the years I have worked as the project manager for Clark Equipment, General Motors and Indocomp Systems. I have worked closely with production plant managers, electrical, mechanical and plant engineers with these projects. My main objective is to work for a company that supports development of new products using the latest technology. Some of my best traits are my ability to work with conceptual ideas, developing new products using the latest technology and providing support from design through the manufacturing of these products. I enjoy working with other personal in the development of these products. I have a strong background in the development of hardware, software applications and management skills. This allows me to not only develop microprocessor hardware applications but also to provide a wide range of software and test programs for these projects. With my experience and my background with project management I can support a company in a wide range of job functions Specialties: Designing robotic vehicles and electronic safety devices: EN-1525, ANSI 56.5, B65.5 and EN61508 safety standards along with following CE, CSA and UL compliant design and certification. Over the years I have had the opportunity to develop and implement quality standards for my department and company policies. I have also been providing programming services using Linux and Microsoft Visual Basic, Access, SQL, C/C++ and embedded micro controllers with C/C++ and assembler.
