My journey with travel began long before I launched my own travel agency in 2021. I’ve been fascinated by people, places, and cultures around the world since I was nine years old. This passion led me to a successful career at a large travel agency beginning in 2002, where I quickly rose toward the top of the sales charts. The thrill of traveling regularly was outpaced only by the excitement I felt when clients returned to tell me how memorable their trips had been, and that it was in large part thanks to my efforts. However, I realized that I couldn’t give my clients the attention they deserved due to the high volume and quick turnaround my work environment demanded. This experience stayed with me during a 15-year hiatus from the industry, during which I thought about the travel field often, but the timing never was quite right to jump back in. When I finally did return, I was determined to provide a different kind of service—one that prioritized personalized attention and truly understanding each client's unique travel desires. What sets us apart at Fair Winds Travel is our blend of big-box experience with personalized, one-on-one service. My deep knowledge of Europe allows me to create uniquely tailored experiences. I take the time to understand each client's travel philosophy, preferences, and needs—be it dietary, mobility, activity level, any special needs, or something else altogether. By asking the right questions, I ensure every vacation is tailor-made for that individual traveling party. The positive feedback I receive, like the rave reviews from the Italy trip, from a complex Austria-France itinerary for a family with young children, or from our most recent group adventure in the heart of Bohemia and Bavaria, confirms that this approach works. With over seven years in the travel industry, including my time at the world's largest student travel agency, I've sent thousands of clients to more than 100 different countries across six continents. I have connections all over the world, and my specific expertise in travel to Central Europe enables me to offer insider knowledge and recommendations that make a difference. What I enjoy most about my business is the challenge and creativity involved in crafting detailed itineraries that excite my clients. The flexibility of running my own business allows me to focus on what I love: connecting people with travel in meaningful ways. My personal interests in travel and learning about new destinations fuel my drive to discover hidden gems and unique experiences that I can share with my clients.
