About David Becerra
My research interests focus predominantly in the area of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. I am mainly concerned with applying computational techniques to the modeling and simulation of complex problems in the Life Sciences. Particularly, concerning with the use of Machine Learning, Bio-inspired Computing, Data Mining, Intelligent Systems, Algorithms and Optimization Processes to the solution of molecular biology problems at a sequential and structural level. My work has focused in the development of bioinformatics methodologies to support the solution of complex and interesting molecular biology and biomedical problems. I have the capability to analyze and model large quantities of biological data based on artificial intelligent and algorithms techniques. I can create novel bioinformatics solutions incorporating many existing software tools along with the implementation of new tools, if it is necessary.
