About David Berardo
As a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT, I am passionate about studying planets that orbit other stars, known as exoplanets. I use Python and machine learning to analyze data from telescopes and spacecrafts, and to develop new methods and tools for exoplanet detection and characterization. My goal is to understand what kind of worlds exist, other than the ones we see in our solar system, and if we can find life elsewhere in the universe. I have contributed to multiple publications and projects on exoplanet atmospheres, habitability, and diversity, and I have received several scholarships and awards for my research. I am currently working towards my PhD in Astrophysics at MIT, after completing my MS and BS in Physics at McGill University.
