I am a Finance, Governance, and Compliance Expert with 20+ years of professional experience in financial policy and reporting, financial audits, and enterprise risk management in the public and private sectors, including 16 years of progressive responsibility within the Social Security Administration. During that time, I have developed extensive knowledge of the federal procurement process (FAC-COR) and expertise in project management, research and analytics, customer experience strategy, and program administration. I believe that attention to detail, optimization, and continuous process improvement have a direct impact on business operations in any industry. In my current role, I am part of a five-person team that ensures financial management systems, financial activities, internal audits, and enterprise risk management (ERM) comply with Federal regulations. This includes managing $5.8+ million in agency contracts, managing the contractors tasked with supporting the Internal Controls and ERM program, collaborating with colleagues, drafting internal communications, and providing reporting, insight, direction, and guidance to senior leadership. Throughout my career, I have had roles that required initiative and the ability to navigate complex systems. My first professional job was in pharmaceutical sales before moving into policy work and ultimately joining the SSA. In each situation, I’ve exercised my ability to master crucial details, rules, and regulations to guarantee my teams perform proper diligence and deliver results.
