I've served as a pastor and lecturer in 7 churches and several colleges in Qld, WA and NSW for over 4 decades. We were involved in the early stages of that church planting work in Qld. which established strong churches in Helensvale and Birkedale.(The Birkdedale Baptist church in those earlier times was known as Capalaba and Redlands fellowship. I was the senior Pastor until early 1991.) Whilst both studying and lecturing at the Baptist theological college in Queensland (Malyon) I was also offered an interim pastor position at the Ashgrove Baptist church - originally located in Western Brisbane's "The Gap area". After this our family moved to WA to undertake further theological study. We originally thought we would return east in a couple of years, so I took up a solo then senior pastor Baptist church role in Perth, thinking that this would be a short term stay. Instead, we felt led to stay in WA and acquire our family home there. We were called to the nearby Rockingham area, where I served as senior pastor (Rockingham Church of Christ), lecturer, church-plant supporter and counsellor whilst undertaking further postgraduate studies in Theology. After a pastorate in Western Sydney's Lower Blue Mountains (having also been accredited to serve with Churches of Christ), we were then called back to pastor in WA (Albany). I was, after all, first ordained as a pastor by the Baptist family of Churches. Currently I am a semi-retired pastor / lecturer assisting in a growing gospel-community in Perth, WA.
