About David Breen

I live in the lucky country but many people are not so lucky, so I do what I can to make their life a little brighter every day. I manage people the way I would love to be managed. I want people I lead to be encouraged and feel valued as a result of what I do each day. My life is about bringing the best of what I’ve learnt from the hard knocks of life to each person I meet. I see opportunities and I work hard to make them a reality by seizing the opportunity, acting upon it and pressing through the challenges. I have developed skills in managing multiple tasks and managing projects to a successful completion. I value honesty and I keep my word, trust is also very important to me. I value business relationships and I am pretty good at networking - I initiate and develop positive relationships with leaders, volunteers and colleagues. Most of the time I am not afraid to face a challenge and will keep going until I find a way to solve a problem. I enjoy people, and I am a team player and I try to learn from my mistakes. Regarding my decision making skills I think these are well developed and I have learnt through experience to be more collaborative. I have experience in managing charitable organisations,(including Work for Dole contracts) project management and team development. I do love to empower people and to problem solve and to equip people to achieve their aims and goals. I’m a high achiever and I can prioritize essential goals to arrive at the required outcomes. My work life balance of work, sport, family, friends and gardening (not necessarily in that order) is a great way to live life!
