Background
About David Brennan
I have been working for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since 2016, first as a consultant and later as an full-time staff member for monitoring and reporting to the EU at an EU cofinanced program supporting the decentralization reforn Ukraine. Since July 2020, I have continued to work for GIZ in Germany on a new assignment at GIZ, where I now support a Team Europe Initiative for Health Security and One Health as part of a broader AU-EU Public Health Partnership. Prior to working with GIZ, I advocated for European patients with chronic respiratory conditions at a non-profit organisation called EFA based in Brussels. As Membership and Program Manager, it was necessary to arrange frequent meetings with members in Brussels or in their countries to align interests and brainstorm new projects for the organization.I presently work full-time with GIZ in both English and German. I also have full professional working proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese languages and good knowledge of French.
