About David Brickey

I am a safe and experienced Part 133/135 helicopter Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with over 3500 hours and multi-platform typed. I have operated in high density altitude arid regions, but I am most comfortable and have great experience operating in maritime and off-shore locales. Search and Rescue (trained by the USCG) was my primary specialty while flying in the US Navy with short and long line sling operations as a close second. Instrument flying in the Gulf of Mexico presents unique challenges that keep us on our toes. Current employment with Era Helicopters, LLC, provides the best of both worlds. I get to fly SAR/HAA and work with professional rescue experts from Priority1 Air Rescue. The professional crewed environment is like warm soft blanket of safety as a foundation from which to operate. We have flown numerous missions to the oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico bringing patients to Galveston, Corpus Christi, New Orleans, Lafayette and other coastal hospitals. These patients were suffering from falls, cardiac issues from A to Z, burns amputations, dehydration and all manner of industrial accident. It's a challenging environment. Recently added Suriname as a country hosting my SAR crew for missions out to seismic and drill ships over 100NM off the coast from SMHP.
