About David Bryson

As a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science at the University of Derby, I taught modules on Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Imaging, and other related topics, drawing on my extensive background in anatomy, education, and clinical photography. Now retired I had been at the University of Derby for over 28 years, supporting a wide range of programmes and modules in the College of Science and Engineering, and contributing to the development of courses and e-learning materials.I am also a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society: Archaeology and Heritage Group, where I serve as the Editor of the journal Heritage Photography, published three times a year. In addition, I am the author of two books on smart clothes and wearable technology, a novel and emerging area of interdisciplinary research that combines fashion, textile, electronics, and health. I am passionate about exploring the applications and implications of these technologies for the active ageing population, enhancing their opportunities for participation, health, and security.
