This process provides a chance to slow down, take a breath and look at options to help couples decide whether to try to restore the marriage, move toward divorce, or take time and decide later. Child Specialist/Family Mediator I offer services as Child Specialist/ Family Mediator for couples going through divorce. I help parents to communicate, resolve issues and create a healthy co-parenting plan addressing placement and related child adjustment concerns with the aim of creating a healthy, two-home family for their children. Collaborative Divorce I am a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (CFLCW) and am on their membership committee. I provide services on Collaborative Teams in the following roles to support couples in handling their divorce productively and with child-focused solutions. • Collaborative Divorce Facilitator • Child Specialist • Divorce Coach Stepfamily & Blended Family Coaching I provide Stepfamily and Blended Family Coaching to help couples: • build solutions and navigate the road towards becoming a successful blended family • understand the complexity of the relationships in their changing family • develop awareness of when children are struggling with losses, loyalty binds, and too much change • manage parenting/discipline decisions that allows softening the stress to avoid forcing the impossible Teaching & Supervision I am on faculty at the Family Therapy Training Institute in Milwaukee. I provide clinical supervision to people training to be Marriage & Family Therapists as well as to licensed clinicians who strive to improve their clinical effectiveness.
