About David Calzi

My personal purpose is to be in constant service to others so that they are enabled to see what is possible and achieve it. St. Vincent de Paul has been serving the Louisville community since 1853. I am honored to be of service to such an amazing organization that is dedicated to housing, feeding and supporting the most vulnerable in our community with dignity and compassion. There are no boundaries on need. We all need to find ways to bridge that gap. Whatever that looks like for each of us - bridge that gap - each and every day - one step at a time. I joined the University of Louisville as their first Director of Industry Partnerships in 2021. The University is a critical member of the community and continues to add value in so many different ways. Connecting to and helping industry network with the University is critically important at so many different levels. One area most important being experiential opportunities for students leading to employment. Prior to this I spent almost four decades with two of the world's largest public accounting and consulting firms serving organizations in the USA and Internationally. Industry sectors included an extensive and broad group including advanced manufacturing, health insurance/managed care, higher education, hospitals and health systems, home health, real estate, retail and consumer products and wholesale distribution. Provided both Assurance/Audit and Advisory Consulting services to businesses from Fortune 25 to Fortune 500 as well as privately held/private equity, owner managed/closely held businesses as well as public and private higher education institutions. Almost four decades of service to our community focusing mainly on education especially in areas where young people are under-served and are in need of access to opportunity. Other focus areas have included organizations working to build strong leaders, organizations focused on growing and supporting entrepreneurs and of course the Arts!
