About David Capon

David is a logical problem solver with a passion for using technology to automate financial systems. He is drawn to the huge positive impact of reducing time and energy spent on manual work and loves to provide data which allows for actionable insights. He is a firm believer that people should be spending their time on important decisions. He enjoys re-imagining expensive legacy systems which provide poor value and bad experiences. Prior to David's time at PwC he took the unconventional route of professionally playing Online and Live Poker successfully for over 10 years. He competed in a high pressured industry where all decisions were based on rigorous risk analysis, problem solving and data driven decisions. Having a strong interest in technology and the value it can create in transforming industries, David invested a substantial amount in the seed and subsequent rounds of fintech startup, Monzo (before the crowd funding rounds).
