For more than 25 years I have provided legal representation to four major card issuers—First USA/Bank One, a predecessor to today’s JP Morgan Chase credit card business, Citi Cards, the U.S. credit card business of Citigroup Inc. Capital One, and TD Bank. Over this period I’ve had the opportunity to counsel a wide range of my clients’ business activities, including portfolio acquisitions and sales, regulatory compliance, governmental affairs, technology, co-branding, strategic marketing activities, card network relations, consumer compliance issues and varied business initiatives. While at First USA/Bank One, I had the opportunity to serve as general counsel and board secretary, participating on the senior leadership team and supervising a legal department that supported a $65 billion credit card bank. In my current role at Citi, I support several portfolios in the bank's retail card services business, product development and business development activities.
