About David Chambers

David is an enthusiastic and adaptable Project Manager who joined Nottingham Trent University in September 2022. Prior to joining Nottingham Trent University, David successfully assisted the delivery of Birmingham City University's Capital Programme as well as gaining four years experience on the consultancy side of the industry working for Mace. David managed the Student Union project (£9m) for Aston University, Aston Medical School (£14m) and Mathematical Sciences Building (£22m) for Warwick University. David was also instrumental in the successful completion of Peterborough STEM project (£9m) and New College Nottingham (£30m) in Basford. Before joining Mace, David gained eight year's experience within the contracting side of the industry. In 2006 David joined Costain as a Graduate Project Manager and was an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering the Kingsway Mental Hospital in Derby (£30m) and Mental Health Resource Centre in Ilkeston (£7m). Various roles including Trainee Construction Manager, Aftercare Manager and Section Engineer were successfully filled by David throughout his time at Costain. These roles were conducted within the Health, Highways and Water sectors where David amassed extensive knowledge of varying construction practises. As part of a day release programme, David gained an FdSc in the Built Environment (Construction Management) as well as a BSc (Hons) Construction Management at the University of Derby. More recently David also completed his Site Management Safety Training Scheme and gained an NVQ level 6 in Construction Site Management
