About David Chapman

My early working career and education (Bsc BioMedical Sciences) explored my interest and passion for all things biological in Histopathology laboratories. I remained in the lab environment for around 10 years gaining an excellent understanding of pathology and the emerging technologies at the cellular end of the pathology spectrum. After leaving the lab environment in 1997, I worked in sales, spending 4 years in lab equipment, 2 in pharmaceuticals, and around 13 in the medical device sector. The latter period was spent with various multinationals working with surgeons from all specialities. I relocated to Turkey for 5 years and enjoyed a new role at Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine, working as a medical editor, assisting the process of preparing articles for acceptance from journals. I received training via the University of Chicago, and gained contracts with multiple national specialist medical journals in Turkey. Currently, I'm part of the commercial team at Diagnexia, helping hospitals and pathology labs strengthen their diagnostic capacity with subspecialist-led digital pathology. I work closely with lab managers and clinical leads to solve turnaround delays and reduce reliance on locums through a regulated, cloud-based reporting service.
