About David Cherry

Civil Engineer based in the Republic of Ireland. I have experience on construction sites, design offices, and consultancies. I have worked in sales, marketing and retail also. My experience shows that I am adaptable, motivated and resilient. I have earned several awards for dedication and teamwork whilst working in sales and many would say that I thrive in this role. However, my passion lay elsewhere and I returned to education in 2019 to pursue a career in civil engineering. My journey to the construction industry has been fantastic so far. Sisk gave me an excellent opportunity in Dublin and for that, I am extremely fortunate. I was the class representative for my Civil engineering class in ATU for 4 years running and aimed to finalise my education and work experience to the highest standard. As of 2023, I graduated from ATU, Galway with a first class honours in Civil Engineering. I earned an award for best Civil Engineering student of the year. I am currently working with Ryan Hanley, a design consultancy that specialises in water and wastewater design. Learning never ends for me, no matter what I'm doing. Life is a fountain of knowledge and I always intend to learn from it.
