About David Chieng

Though I have recently started my professional career at PwC, after having graduated from university, I recognize that I will always be a student to some degree. I look forward to taking on new projects and responsibilities in the workforce, and am eager to learn from experienced professionals in the field. I believe that my developing passion for accounting and strong work ethic will enable me to thrive in any accounting position. My experience has helped me develop skills in time management and resource allocation, billing and invoicing, and reconciliation. Alongside my major, I am interested in utilizing the hard skills developed from my minor in business intelligence and applying that knowledge to my professional career. In addition to my technical skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently and collaboratively are soft skills that I have developed. Beyond my technical abilities, I feel fortunate and privileged to have been able to use my skills to make a positive impact in the community. As a volunteer tax preparer with the Bissell Centre, I have helped low-income individuals, families and seniors navigate the tax system and access tax credits. I believe that my combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and compassion would make me a valuable asset to any organization.
