About David Claphan

After 8 years in Business Operations, I embraced my passion for technology and problem-solving and returned to school to pursue a degree in Computer Science.Working in Business Operations, I often had the opportunity to collaborate with software engineering teams. I always had an appreciation for their contribution to the projects we worked on and thought it would be interesting to be on that side of things, actually ‘building’ the ideas that the business had come up with. Two years ago I started actively working towards making the switch to a career as a Software Engineer by returning to school to pursue a degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University. After a successful software engineering internship this past summer, where I had the opportunity to work on a full stack project implementing Azure Cognitive Search into an existing platform in an Agile environment, I returned to school in the fall and graduated in December. I'm now looking for a full-time Software Engineer position, preferably a hybrid or remote role based in San Francisco or the San Francisco Bay Area, but open to positions in Los Angeles, Denver, Boulder, or Chicago.
