About David Cluphf

As a teacher, I have been described as energetic, enthusiastic and as possessing an affinity for working and collaborating with adult learners and teacher training students. I have enjoyed successfully training hundreds of learners in the teacher certification process as well as developing professional develoment courses for practicing teachers. A hallmark of my career care is that I am able to design training and instruction so that all learners/participants are able to interact with the content in a manner that is reflective of their particular levels of readiness and understanding. Motivating learners to engage with the content first requires that an instructor demonstrate that they actually care about their learners and how the content is relevant to them. My enthusiasm for the teaching/learning process stems from the belief that in order for people to learn deeply, they must be able to utilize content in a contextual manner.I have extensive experience designing and implementing seat-based and online content for adult learners, posses high-level writing and speaking skills, and am confident and competent with adult learning practices such as ADDIE and how adult learners conceptualize and utilize information. Have also demonstrated successful mentoring, professional development and supervising expertise for 50+ graduate teaching assistants.
