About David Cohen

My interest in jewelry manufacturing began at the University of Maryland. While working towards a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies, I would see other students working busily in the basement crafting jewelry. This piqued my interest, so when it came time to choose elective classes I decided to enroll in Introductory Metal Working – and quickly fell in love. After graduating, I joined the Transcendental Meditation movement. This took me all over the country for the few years that followed. During this time, I learned the basics of jewelry manufacturing. I finally settled in Fairfield, Iowa to take the position of head manufacturer at Americus Diamond. It was at Americus Diamond that the whole process of jewelry manufacturing came together. I had the opportunity to master the craft and, just as importantly, be exposed to the great entrepreneurial spirit of the founder, Jim Van Winkle. After almost a decade of manufacturing for Americus Diamond stores all across the country, I set up my own shop in the basement of my home, and David Cohen Jewelry Casting was born. Over the years I branded myself as LoGoLD, hired employees, and relocated to my own building. Today, LoGoLD Corporate Awards is the realization of 25 years of experience in manufacturing company rings, safe driver rings, championship rings, employee recognition rings, and sales award rings. I have had the unique opportunity to craft award rings for many notable clients, including: the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Laura Bush, WWE, Frito-Lay, Honda, Panasonic, and a handful of the nation’s largest trucking companies. Though I have been fortunate to see my business thrive, I still operate under the same principles as the day I began – integrity, quality, efficiency, and customer care.
