I have been working in construction for 44 years. I Started my working life in the UK as an appentice carpeter and joiner. I then progressed to site foreman followed by site manager. I then became a contracts manager running multiple projects. I have managed bank fitouts. Extensive hotel rebuilds and fitouts along with many commercial and airport projects. I have worked within a team as well as managing a team of site staff. I have managed works from the lowest amounts up to 60m. Skills: • Experience in managing projects up to $60m • Experience in managing multiple projects • Experience in managing the financial status of projects (P&G, provisional sums, and margin) • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams (Site Managers, Project Leaders, Quantity Surveyors, Service Engineers) • Preparing tenders, target and construction programmes (experience in using the “Last Planner” system) • Preparing methodologies for tenders • Preparing weekly reports for progress meetings • Preparing regular internal monthly reports and reporting on project status • Development and assessment of Risk Registers • Chairing meetings with Consultants and driving the design (if required) • Client / Engineer to the Contract liaison • Management of contract queries and status • Management of project delays, extension of time claims • Development of Site specific Safety Plans and managing Health & Safety on projects • Management of remedial items and ensuring a quality completion to projects • Management of Operation and Maintenance documentation for handover • Site staff performance reviews
