About David Cole

I grew up working on a farm. We pretty much raised most everything that went on the table. After High School, I went immediately to work in the big world when I was 17. I worked several jobs prior to joining the worlds greatest Navy.the United States Navy. I was a Damage Controlman for my first part of my enlistment and then became the dreaded Recruiter. My dream was to be a Law Enforcement Officer and to write. I got the unique opportunity to join a great group of men and women in 1995 as a Law Enforcement Officer at the Dickson Police Department. At the time I am writing this (August 2015), I am still employed here. It has been a great career choice so far. I also started writing. I write a weekly column for our local newspaper. I also have a partial book written on the subject matter of the humorous side of Law Enforcement. Some of the stories are quite funny. Since writing this "About Section" around 2017, I was promoted several times to Sergeant of Special Operations; then Lieutenant of Special Operations; and then eventually, to Captain of Special Services. Yesterday, March 9, 2022, I retired with 27 years of service to our great community. I start full time on Monday, March 14, 2022 with Hiscall, Inc. as an Account Consultant.
