About David Combaz

Holding a Master's Degree in Development and Integrated Land Management and a specialized Master's Degree in Forest Nature and Society, I have a multidisciplinary profile, tailored to meet the needs of sustainable development related issues in Southern countries. Between 2007 and 2013, I’ve been carrying short to mid-term assignments related to the prevention of desertification in Sub-Saharan countries, biodiversity monitoring in RSPO certified oil palm plantations in Indonesia, Sustainable Forest Management in Central Africa, watershed management and land tenure in India, cocoa agroforestry and marketing in Cameroon, etc. From 2013 to 2018, I managed an integrated rural development program on behalf of the NGO Fondo Para la Paz in Chiapas State in Southern Mexico. In this context, I worked with local and national stakeholders on a wide array of social, environmental and agricultural projects, including the strengthening of local coffee production and marketing, diversification and intensification of food production under agroforestry schemes to achieve food sovereignty and combat soil erosion, etc. Since 2018, joined SalvaTerra to provide comprehensive expertise on environment, agriculture and forest related projects.
