About David Copeland

Midwestern born TX and raised OK. Raised as a conservative Christian and graduated from Mustang HS in 1983. Joined USAF (1987-2007), during my UASF career I was did volunteer work with the Youth Group at the local congregation while filling other Deacon positions as well. After retiring from the USAF I became a full time Youth Minister for 4.5 years. That ministry experience motivated the decision to enter into becoming a Family Counselor. While finishing my graduate degree with Liberty University I completed my Internship and Practicum with the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center (pro-bono for over a year) in Niceville FL. I furthered my MA studies during that time with extra specialization courses dealing with PTSD and trauma. I took on work as an Addiction Counselor with Lakeview Center for nearly two years and then entered into private practice with Family and Child Development. Currently I have taken employment as a Child and Youth Behavioral Military Family Life Counselor and have also opened my own private practice in Niceville, FL called GHP Counseling Services. We expanded to providing PEMF sessions which helps the body rejuvenate from within. I am thankful and grateful to all those who have been instrumental in developing effective ways of helping people with trauma issues as well as those who have supported me on this journey! As this journey continues and I am humbled by the powerful results that are making transformational change in the lives of families. Looking to make alliances for further advancements in treating PTSD and C-PTSD in individuals and their families.
